This role will cultivate warm leads from a long standing customer base from its partner company Duliban Insurance Brokers. The successful candidate is a sales driven individual who is looking for an opportunity for personal and professional growth as a part of an expanding company. You will work closely with our Principal Advisor and Directors and be accountable for the entire process, from prospecting, to lead acquisition, to creating and presenting recommendations to prospective clients. This position requires proven experience in the group benefits space and an established understanding of the overall landscape of this profession.

Responsibilities

  • Connect with key business leaders in-person, over the phone, and on digital platforms to gain an understanding of their business to advise on an appropriate benefit strategy and the advantages of working with Hometown Life Insurance
  • Collect and prepare required details of the client’s business to go to market
  • Work cooperatively with carriers to provide updates and manage client expectations throughout the process
  • Educate and guide prospects through the process to ensure a seamless tranisition of their plan
  • Build relationships with prospective clients from pre-existing relationships through a variety of business partnerships
  • Compile, review and prepare quotes for recommendation to client based on their business’ needs
  • Provide professional recommendation to the client for their review and consideration
  • Confirm final details of plan design to make final presentation to client for implementation
  • Assist client in the enrolment process for the business and employees
  • Communicate and work with the service team to ensure there is no gap in knowledge for the client
  • Conduct ongoing touch points and updates with the client regarding their plan and trends in the marketplace
  • Negotiate premiums and manage renewals with the carrier on behalf of the client
  • Perform duties as assigned with a high level of integrity, professionalism, and dedication to a superior client experience

Ideal Candidate

  • Self starter who is motivated for the sale and can cultivate genuine trust with clients
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive client information
  • Superior oral and written communication skills
  • Has experience in sales with a proven track record of success
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Aptitude to establish and develop long-lasting client relationships
  • Strong attention to detail including organization and accuracy of tasks
  • Acts with patience, professionalism, and dedication to the client best interests

Qualifications

  • Post secondary degree or diploma or relevant education and experience
  • 3+ years of B2B Sales experience
  • 3 to 5 years experience working with Group/Employee Benefits
  • LLQP (Life Licensing Qualification Program) is an asset. Candidate must be willing to acquire designation.

This position has the opportunity to be remote/hybrid if not located in Niagara Region, provided the candidate is willing to commute to our clients or Hometown office to meet with clients in person as needed.
