Group Benefits Specialist

**Opportunity**
**Responsibilities**
- Stay up to date with trends in the group benefits space to provide a macro view of the benefits landscape.
- Review and participate in the negotiation with the carrier at renewal time on the client’s behalf.
- Provide technical knowledge and support in meetings with clients at the company’s discretion.
- Build relationships with prospective and current clients.
- Collaborate with other members of the group benefits team in making recommendations to clients for any plan designs or changes.
- Respond promptly to communications from the clients and carriers related to potential and current business.
- Development of processes and customized communications/materials for client use.
- Perform duties as assigned with a high level of integrity, professionalism, and dedication to a superior client experience.
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive client information.
- Superior oral and written communication skills.
- Has experience in group benefits underwriting or management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Aptitude for establishing and developing long-lasting client relationships.
- Strong attention to detail including organization and accuracy of tasks.
- Acts with patience, professionalism, and dedication to the client’s best interests.
**Qualifications**
- Post secondary degree or diploma in a related field or a combination of relevant education and experience.
- 3 to 5 years’ experience working with Group/Employee Benefits.
- CEBS designation is an asset.

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
