  • You excel at managing multiple tasks, meeting deadlines with accurate results, and have a keen eye for detail. You possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, ensuring efficient resolution of vendor claim issues and identification of trends.
  • Your excellent communication and organizational skills enable you to maintain effective interactions with buyers, customer care, warehouses, accounts payable, and suppliers. You prioritize customer service and build strong relationships to facilitate timely vendor claims collection.
  • With a post-secondary degree or diploma in business, you are proficient in using MS Office and Excel. You adept at working in a PC environment and using application software to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.

Overview:

Reporting to the Financial Controller , the Vendor Claims Coordinator is responsible for processing and collecting credits from suppliers for product deficiencies. The role aims to maximize the claim dollars collected and minimize the time required to collect credits from suppliers. You will liaise with Customer Care and Warehouses to ensure that claim submissions meet the agreements between NTL and the vendor and also meet the vendor’s claim requirements. The position will also work closely with the Buyers to resolve vendor issues and identify trends with product deficiencies.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Vendor Claims Coordinator responsibilities include:

  • Oversee and manage the vendor claims collection process, ensuring timely and accurate collection of outstanding invoices while addressing and resolving disputes or issues related to claim collections promptly.
  • Maintain effective communication and build strong relationships with buyers, customer care, warehouses, accounts payable, and suppliers.
  • Prioritize customer service by building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, ensuring all customer inquiries are handled professionally and promptly.
  • Utilize strong analytical skills to identify patterns and trends in collections data, and prepare regular reports on collection activities, outstanding claims, and progress toward collection goals.
  • Develop solutions to complex collection issues and implement best practices to improve efficiency, continuously seeking opportunities to enhance the collections process through new technologies and methodologies.
  • Use application software and MS Office tools, particularly Excel, to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure seamless claims and collections operations, participating in team meetings and contributing to the development of department goals and strategies.
  • Assist in clerical accounting tasks related to accounts payable and inventory as needed.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business or a related field.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in accounts payable and/or collections.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines with accurate results.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, keen eye to detail and strong customer service orientation.
  • The ability to build and maintain effective relationships with various stakeholders.
