Calibration Dataset Management Engineer

Job Description:
- The Calibration Dataset/Calibration Manager is responsible for managing all hybrid and engine controller calibration datasets to support vehicle development, milestones, and vehicle manufacturing. This will include building development calibrations regularly for powertrain calibration teams to test during their development while thoroughly documenting calibration changes and conducting calibration comparisons.
- Support in vehicle data capture, analysis, and issue management with the calibration team.
- They will provide support to the various calibration teams for resolving any system issues (GIMS, PITS, etc.). Lastly, the Calibration Dataset Manager will be responsible for preparing all calibration-related Certification and Running Change documentation for Production Releases.
- The Calibration Dataset Manager will support the calibration team on a daily and weekly basis and be fully integrated into the development of the hybrid propulsion system.
- The engineer should expect to potentially perform release DVP&Rs in vehicle to ensure the validity of the releases prior to distribution.
- The individual will have also demonstrated the ability to work well with others and be able to effectively communicate both remotely and in person.
- The engineer must be a team player, supporting and promoting team accomplishments versus personal achievement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related degree.
- 1-3 years of professional experience in Automotive or similar industry, related to embedded control systems.
- Ability to learn quickly and utilize Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, OneNote, etc.) effectively.
- Good oral and written communication skills with the ability to work independently and with others.
- Ability to balance work effectively on multiple issues.
- Action a disciplined test plan and verification process to ensure quality calibrations are released.
- Analytic ability and creativity.
- Strong knowledge of the Powertrain system.
Preferred Requirements:
- Knowledge of Propulsion systems including hybrids.
- Knowledge of calibration of engine, transmission, or hybrid propulsion systems.
- Knowledge of software development and releasing.
