Finance Coordinator

Our Client The Central Okanagan Food Bank (COFB) is a nonprofit charitable organization committed to creating a healthy hungerfree community by providing healthy nutritious food to those who need it most. They rely on the generosity of the community to support the work they do through the donation of food funds and time. These donations come from individuals families organizations community groups as well as various fundraising/foodraising efforts.
Reporting to the Director of Development this team player will oversee and manage the complete accounting and payroll function in addition to providing highlevel administration support. This position includes handling high amounts of confidential data budgeting cash flows financial reporting full cycle general accounting documentation and remittances.
A day in the life of this role includes:
- Human resources benefits and payroll administration responsibilities such as processing biweekly payroll; updating employee benefit profiles; tracking and documenting employee changes; and
- Finance administration duties such as processing donations; completing remittances and reports for external bodies; monitoring expenditures for the annual budget; preparing reports & financial statements; reconciling accounts monthly; performing daily accounting tasks such as cheque generation & managing deposits; managing accounts payable and receivable; assisting in preparing the financial components of funding proposals applications and reporting; ensuring adequate cash management practices are in place; and managing the CRM.

This is a fulltime opportunity (Monday Friday). Salary will be aligned with experience level and is anticipated to start between $58000 to $65000 per year.
