What you will be doing:
First 12 Months Business Development:
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve sales targets within the first 12 months.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market presence within the metal industry.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of sales strategies.
Territory Management:
- Effectively manage and grow assigned territories, optimizing revenue and market share.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners within the industry.
- Conduct regular analysis of territory performance and adapt strategies accordingly.
Strategic Development:
- Contribute to the development and execution of long-term sales and growth strategies.
- Provide insights and recommendations for product/service enhancements based on market trends and customer feedback.
Industry Development:
- Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities.
- Identify opportunities to innovate and stay ahead of our competition in the metal/commodities industry while taking advantage of our trucking logistics and warehousing infrastructure.
Strategic Development:
- Investigate and implement a CRM.
The experience you bring:
- 5+ years of experience in the metal/commodities industry.
- Demonstrated success working in or with companies within the steel industry, preferably across Canada.
- Proven experience in territory management, including the ability to effectively expand and manage customer relationships.
- Track record of building and leading successful sales teams.
- Strong market research skills, with the ability to gather and analyze relevant data.

- Ability to work independently, demonstrating strong organizational skills.
- Comfortable wearing multiple hats and getting involved in various aspects of the business, reflecting a startup-like mentality.
- Willingness to take calculated risks and be results-driven.
- Ambitious individual who thrives in an environment that encourages pushing boundaries.
- Agency-oriented mindset, with the ability to maintain a positive attitude even in challenging situations.
- Thick-skinned, able to handle rejection and overcome obstacles.

Compensation:
- Base Range: $100K - $140K
- Commission: Quarterly
- OTE: 2x Base with no ceiling
