What you will be doing:

First 12 Months Business Development:

  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve sales targets within the first 12 months.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market presence within the metal industry.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of sales strategies.

Territory Management:

  • Effectively manage and grow assigned territories, optimizing revenue and market share.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners within the industry.
  • Conduct regular analysis of territory performance and adapt strategies accordingly.

Strategic Development:

  • Contribute to the development and execution of long-term sales and growth strategies.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for product/service enhancements based on market trends and customer feedback.

Industry Development:

  • Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities.
  • Identify opportunities to innovate and stay ahead of our competition in the metal/commodities industry while taking advantage of our trucking logistics and warehousing infrastructure.

Strategic Development:

  • Investigate and implement a CRM.

The experience you bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in the metal/commodities industry.
  • Demonstrated success working in or with companies within the steel industry, preferably across Canada.
  • Proven experience in territory management, including the ability to effectively expand and manage customer relationships.
  • Track record of building and leading successful sales teams.
  • Strong market research skills, with the ability to gather and analyze relevant data.

Compensation:

  • Base Range: $100K - $140K
  • Commission: Quarterly
  • OTE: 2x Base with no ceiling
