Accounts Payable Clerk

We are looking for a skilled Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Toronto, Ontario. In this role, you will oversee the complete accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate management of invoices, expense reports, and payments. Your work will be essential in maintaining vendor relationships and supporting the financial operations of the company.Responsibilities:- Process and verify invoices, payment requests, and expense reports in alignment with company policies.- Perform three-way matching to ensure accuracy between purchase orders, invoices, and receiving documents.- Reconcile vendor statements and promptly address any discrepancies.- Monitor account balances and ensure payments are made within agreed terms.- Support month-end closing activities by preparing accruals and financial reports.- Maintain organized and accurate documentation for all accounts payable transactions.- Collaborate with procurement and other departments to resolve invoice and payment-related issues.- Provide necessary records and documentation for internal and external audits.- Identify and suggest improvements to streamline and automate accounts payable processes.- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting.- Solid understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable workflows.- Proficiency in systems such as Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar platforms, as well as Microsoft Excel.- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with vendors and team members.- Ability to independently manage tasks and prioritize multiple responsibilities.- Familiarity with invoice coding and data entry processes.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
