What's the role?
Stardust is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Digital Media Buyer to join our team – but more importantly, we’re seeking people unafraid to push the envelope, willing to fail forward, and most importantly: digital marketers who are highly motivated and never stop learning .
As a marketer, you probably know that anyone who claims to be an “expert” at anything probably isn’t. That’s why we approach things differently: we expect you to know your stuff, but we expect you even more so to have an unending quest for knowledge. We expect that there are things you don’t know, and we want to give you the opportunity to become amazing at it – because that’s the way learning (and revenue growth) works.
We also expect that sometimes the best laid plans don’t always work the way we think they will. Don’t get us wrong: we expect our team to grow our clients’ revenue, and we expect to compensate you accordingly – but in a rapid-growth ecom environment, you know that success comes from experimentation – not strategies from five or ten years ago, and last year’s strategies are probably already useless.
In short: we’re building a team of titans in downtown Vancouver, BC.
Bottom line: we’re looking for mid- to senior-level digital marketers with a strong background in ecommerce. Are you a Meta master? A Google giant? Maybe even a Tiktok tacklerm, or a Google Analytics Assassin? You don’t have to be all of the above, but those are the general skills we’re looking for.
Because it’s expected by some lawyers somewhere we put some guidelines on this job posting, let’s get serious for a second:
Reporting directly to the VP, eCom, the ideal candidate will be responsible for driving growth through effective marketing strategies and initiatives. This role demands creativity, analytical prowess, and a results-driven mindset to enhance our brand presence and achieve our business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take full ownership of paid channel strategies, including strategy development, execution, and performance tracking to meet budget and ROI targets.
- Manage day-to-day operations of Paid Search campaigns and coordinate creative campaigns across digital and social media platforms.
- Develop and execute comprehensive paid content strategies to support and extend marketing and communications initiatives, aligning with short-term and long-term business objectives.
- Establish performance goals, oversee measurement protocols, and optimize content effectiveness based on analytics and insights.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop effective ads, strategies, and seamless conversion strategies.
- Drive customer acquisition growth through multi-channel paid media campaigns, exploring new channels and opportunities aligned with company objectives.
- Conduct informal and formal routine (daily, weekly, monthly) reporting and share insights with the project team to support overall account strategy and decision-making.
- Work closely with technical and digital teams to implement efficient content management and essential marketing systems (e.g., CMS, marketing automation, analytics).
- Supervise and manage the content lifecycle, ensuring all content is consistent with brand standards and optimized for user experience across all channels.
- Champion testing and learning across various programs, including creative, copy, audience segments, channels, and tactics, to drive optimization and growth.
Qualifications:
- Continuous learner with a desire to empower clients and contribute to their growth and success.
- Strong leadership skills with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Proactive problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a passion for marketing and staying ahead of industry trends.
- Comprehensive working knowledge of marketing channels, including Google Ads, Meta Ads, Google Analytics, email marketing platforms (e.g. Klaviyo, Omnisend, SMS platforms).
- 4-6 years of relevant experience in digital marketing (whatever that means)
- Experience managing Facebook Ads, TikTok Ads, and/or Google Ads (3-5 years). Any experience with Rumble Ads is a plus.
- Strong interest in Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) brands.
- Results-focused, with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong copywriting skills, creativity in ad development, and a collaborative spirit.
