Company Overview: We are a reputable plumbing and heating company based in Vancouver, providing high-quality services to our clients. As we expand our reach, we are seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Bilingual Graphic Designer & Marketing Specialist. This role will be pivotal in creating visually appealing digital artwork to advertise our services across various platforms, targeting primarily Chinese-speaking audiences. This government-funded project is supported through the CDAP (Canadian Digital Adoption Program).

**Responsibilities**:

- Create captivating digital graphic art for advertising our plumbing and heating services.
- Develop engaging visual content optimized for Chinese social media platforms such as WeChat, Xiaohongshu, and Chinese Facebook.
- Manage and maintain a consistent brand image across all digital marketing channels.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute marketing strategies targeting the Chinese-speaking community.
- Translate marketing materials and content from English to Chinese (and vice versa) as needed.
- Assist in the planning and execution of marketing campaigns.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of digital marketing efforts, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.
- Occasionally attend in-person meetings in Vancouver to discuss marketing strategies and initiatives with the team.

**Requirements**:

- Fluent in both English and Chinese, with strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
- Proficient in graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience in creating digital artwork for social media advertising campaigns.
- Knowledge of Chinese social media platforms (e.g., WeChat, Weibo) and understanding of their advertising capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Located in or near Vancouver, BC, for occasional in-person meetings.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in the plumbing or construction industry is a plus.
- Knowledge of SEO principles and digital marketing analytics tools.
- Familiarity with WeChat, Xiaohongshu ??? and Chinese Facebook
- Familiarity with WordPress or other content management systems.
- Understanding of cultural nuances and preferences within the Chinese-speaking community.

Skills / Highlights

Fluency in English and Chinese: Ability to communicate effectively in both languages, including writing, speaking, and translating.

Graphic Design: Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar tools to create visually appealing digital artwork.

Cultural Awareness: Knowledge of Chinese culture, preferences, and trends to create culturally relevant content that resonates with the target audience.

Social Media Savvy: Familiarity with Chinese social media platforms such as WeChat, Weibo, and Chinese Facebook to optimize content for each platform.

Creativity: Ability to generate innovative ideas and concepts for marketing campaigns and graphic design projects.
