- Act as project or site supervisor for land survey or construction work
- Conduct site visits to gather relevant information
- Conduct technical analyses of survey and field data for development of topographic, soil, hydrological or other information and prepare reports
- Develop construction specifications and procedures
- Ensure construction plans meet guidelines and specifications of building codes and other regulations
- Establish and monitor construction work schedules
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate building and construction materials
- Interpret, review and approve survey and civil design work
- Supervise technicians, technologists and other engineers and review and approve designs, calculations and cost estimates
- Offer mentoringCertificates, licences, memberships, and courses
- Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial associationExperience
- 7 months to less than 1 yearSupport for newcomers and refugees
- Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees
- Recruits newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster (for example: Ukraine, Afghanistan, etc.)
- Provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees Support for youths
