Join our compassionate team at the Fort Simpson Long Term Care (LTC) Facility, a culturally sensitive 18-bed long term and respite care facility. We are dedicated to providing exceptional care and fostering a supportive environment for both residents and staff. As the Nurse in Charge (NIC), you will play a pivotal role in overseeing daily operations and ensuring the highest quality of nursing care for our residents. Your leadership will be key in developing and implementing care plans, monitoring care standards, and acting as an advocate for our residents. You will also provide direct care and facilitate effective communication among residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
To be considered for this role, you must have a Nursing Degree with a minimum of 3 years of recent nursing experience in a long term care setting and at least 1 year of supervisory experience. Supervisory or management training is an asset, and Long Term Care Canadian Nursing Association Geriatric Certification is desirable.
We are looking for someone with strong leadership and organizational skills, excellent communication and advocacy skills, and a compassionate approach to culturally sensitive care. If you are a compassionate and experienced nurse with a passion for long term care, we want to hear from you
