Job Information

At the Fort Simpson Long Term Care Facility, we are seeking a compassionate and experienced Nurse in Charge to oversee daily operations and provide exceptional care to our residents. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing care plans, monitoring care standards, and advocating for our residents.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement care plans that meet the unique needs of our residents
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of care, ensuring the well-being and safety of our residents
  • Act as an advocate for our residents, addressing their concerns and needs
  • Provide direct care and support to residents, as needed
  • Facilitate effective communication among residents, families, and healthcare professionals
Requirements
  • Nursing Degree with a minimum of 3 years of recent nursing experience in a long term care setting
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience
  • Supervisory or management training is an asset
  • Long Term Care Canadian Nursing Association Geriatric Certification is desirable
