Job Information

As the Nurse in Charge (NIC) at our Fort Simpson Long Term Care (LTC) Facility, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing daily operations and ensuring the highest quality of nursing care for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement care plans that meet the unique needs of our residents
  • Monitor care standards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Act as an advocate for our residents and their families
  • Provide direct care and facilitate effective communication among residents, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Supervise and mentor nursing staff to ensure high-quality care delivery
Requirements:
  • Nursing Degree with a minimum of 3 years of recent nursing experience in a long term care setting
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience
  • Supervisory or management training is an asset
  • Long Term Care Canadian Nursing Association Geriatric Certification is desirable
