Role Responsibilities

Are you a dynamic and strategic event planning professional looking to make a significant impact? We are seeking an experienced Events Specialist to join our team, providing top-tier event planning and strategic counsel for ministries and to provide additional supports for Premier events as needed. This is a unique opportunity to lead and execute high-profile events that align the Alberta Public Service mandates and goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Event Planning: Develop and implement event strategies for news conferences, media availabilities, technical briefings, and other outreach initiatives.
Project Management: Oversee project timelines, resource needs, and logistics, ensuring seamless execution of events.
Media Relations: Serve as the point of contact onsite for media logistical questions.
Writing Support: Prepare detailed event planning documents, briefings, and summaries, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
On-Site Direction: Provide on-site guidance to vendors and staff, ensuring the smooth execution of events.



What We’re Looking For:

Experience: Proven experience in senior professional event planning and strategic communications.
Skills: Strong project management, media relations, and strategic writing skills.
Flexibility: Ability to travel throughout the province and work before/after hours and weekends as required.
Physical Capability: Must be able to lift heavy materials and assist with event setup.
