Duties

- Deliver interpretive presentations, guided hikes/tours, public interpretation programs (children, outdoor theatre, etc.), activities and special events.
- Provide quality visitor services to the public, work with various point of sale systems, selling permits and revenue collection.
- Record visitor statistics, provide visitor information and respond to inquiries in person and over the phone.

Work environment

Parks Canada is a federal government agency responsible for the protection and presentation of Canadas outstanding natural and cultural resources through a system of national parks, national marine conservation areas and national historic sites in all regions of Canada.

Operational Requirements:
- Willingness to work and/or travel in varied terrains, weather conditions, isolated locations and by various means of transportations;
- Be exposed to stress when responding to fluctuating, unpredictable visitor demands and requirements
- Must provide own transportation to and from the workplace

Conditions of employment

- Willingness to use safe work practices (training and terms of use provided)
- Willingness to work irregular hours, shift work, overtime, weekends and/or statutory holidays and provincial/territorial holidays, when required
