Created in partnership with hospitality icon Nick Di Donato of the Liberty Entertainment Group, Don Alfonso 1890 Toronto is the only North American location of world renowned Michelin Star Chefs Alfonso and Ernesto Iaccarino's Don Alfonso 1890.
Sitting atop the iconic Westin Harbour Castle, on the edge of Lake Ontario, the spacious new location on the 38th floor, offers stunning views of the city skyline and Toronto's harbor.
Don Alfonso is currently seeking skilled Server Assistant to join our incredible team.Job DescriptionEnsuring organization and cleanliness at all timesPossess a working knowledge of the venue (location, direction, events, policies etc.)Effectively manage guest flow to maximize seating capacityKnow all table numbers and maintain awareness of which servers are in each sectionCommunicate with Managers and FOH staff during events to maintain proper guest flow throughout the venue.
Assist management and FOH staff in all necessary preparations and set up for events.Other duties assigned by the manager.
QualificationsMinimum 5 years of fine dining experience as a Server is a mustWine knowledge is an assetPrevious experience in a customer service positionStrong oral communication skillsHigh attention to detailAbility to remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environmentOrganizational skills and ability to multi-taskAbility to maintain a level of professional urgency and momentumMust be legally able to work in CanadaDon Alfonso is committed to an inclusive, barrier-free work environment, recruitment and selection process.
