Talent & Engagement Specialist

We are seeking a dynamic Talent & Engagement Specialist to join our team and play a key role in shaping the future of Zurich Canada by nurturing our most important asset - our people.

As a Talent & Engagement Specialist, you will lead and prepare discussions with business unit leaders for talent discussions, succession planning, year-end alignment, and implementation of talent strategies.

You will also monitor and follow up on succession planning to ensure readiness of talent for future roles, collaborate with HR Business Partners (HRBPs) and HR team members to identify and enhance talent development opportunities, and lead Canada's Apprentice Program.

You will host peer manager circles and facilitate focus groups to promote continuous learning and identify engagement trends, support implementation of engagement survey, trend analysis and actioning of results, and oversee internal and external communication strategies for Talent Management and engagement efforts.

You will develop and enhance leadership development programs, team-building workshops including providing leadership coaching, and partner with technical trainers to align leadership development programs with business objectives and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and prepare discussions with business unit leaders for talent discussions, succession planning, year-end alignment, and implementation of talent strategies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 6 + years of HR experience (HR Generalist, Junior HRBP, or COE role) OR College Diploma with 8+ years of relevant HR experience.
  • Proven experience in talent management, learning and development, project management, succession planning, and leadership development.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to facilitate discussions and negotiate effectively.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified coach such as the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) certification or equivalent, certification in personality and behavioral profiling tools such as DiSC assessment or equivalent.
