We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Healthcare Coordinator to join our team at the Canadian Red Cross. As a key member of our Community Health Program, you will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day delivery of our Health Equipment Loan Program, including the Specialized Equipment Program and Transitional Care Unit pilot expansion.
Key Responsibilities- Program Coordination: Work with our Occupational Therapist to coordinate the delivery of the Health Equipment Loan Program, including the Specialized Equipment Program and Transitional Care Unit pilot expansion.
- Relationship Building: Liaise and build relationships with hospitals and long-term care facilities to ensure the successful delivery of the Health Equipment Loan Program.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records of equipment loans, returns, and statistics in accordance with program policies.
- Administrative Support: Provide administrative support, including ensuring financial transactions are completed and all information flow to the public is timely and accurate.
- Education: Completion of post-secondary education or diploma in a health-related field.
- Experience: One to two years of job-related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience in health, customer service, and administration.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, both written and oral, in English; ability to prioritize and organize multiple issues simultaneously in a complex client-based environment; sound decision-making abilities, combined with strong organizational skills.
- Additional Requirements: Valid driver's license to travel within Nova Scotia; eligibility to work in Canada; ability to complete a successful pre-employment screening process, including a satisfactory Enhanced Police Information Check (E-PIC).
