Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans to address addiction and mental health concerns.
  • Provide individual, group, and family counselling sessions to promote recovery and well-being.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Develop and facilitate educational programs and workshops to promote healthy coping mechanisms and addiction prevention.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports to track client progress and program effectiveness.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences or related field.
  • Minimum one year of supervised counselling experience, preferably in the addictions field.
  • Strong knowledge of addiction and mental health theories, models, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Counselling or related field.
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including Indigenous communities.
  • Knowledge of Motivational Interviewing techniques and other evidence-based practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
