The Physiotherapist will assess, diagnose, and treat patients with actual or potential impairments, pain, functional limitations, or disabilities. They will also educate and communicate with other health disciplines, the general public, family members, and caregivers regarding health promotion, physiotherapy treatment, and pain management.
About the Role- Assess and diagnose patients with actual or potential impairments, pain, functional limitations, or disabilities
- Treat patients using evidence-based physiotherapy practices
- Educate and communicate with other health disciplines, the general public, family members, and caregivers regarding health promotion, physiotherapy treatment, and pain management
- Supervise and evaluate physiotherapy students and supervise Physiotherapy Assistants
- Graduation from a university with a degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent from a recognized school of Physiotherapy
- Current registration with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapy and eligibility for membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association
- Continuing education course in the area of orthopedics is an asset
- Maintain current certification in CPR
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Competencies in other languages preferred, French an asset
- $42.89 hourly
