Claims Representative I - CMS role involves handling claims, gathering information, and making decisions to settle claims fairly and reasonably.
We're looking for a Claims Representative I - CMS to join our team. As a Claims Representative, you will be responsible for:
- Opening new claims on the phone with clients and ensuring immediate handling of the situation.
- Gathering versions of events from the insured and/or witnesses by interviewing them about the events.
- Determining if the claim is covered or not by analyzing the coverage required to cover the claim.
- Analyzing the information obtained, making decisions that will be used to establish liability and reviewing the assessment of damages.
- Settling the claim in a fair and reasonable manner, validating damages and completing payments.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A university degree or any combination of training and experience deemed relevant for the role.
- Strong time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- No Canadian work experience required, but you must be eligible to work in Canada.
