About the Role
We're seeking a skilled Claims Representative I - Auto to join our team at Intact, a leading provider of insurance and financial services. As a Claims Representative, you will play a critical role in handling auto claims, ensuring timely and fair resolutions for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Open new claims on the phone with clients and ensure immediate handling of the situation.
- Gather versions of events from the insured and/or witnesses by interviewing them about the events.
- Determine if the claim is covered or not by analyzing the coverage required to cover the claim.
- Analyze the information obtained, make decisions that will be used to establish liability and review the assessment of damages.
- Settle the claim in a fair and reasonable manner, validate damages and complete payments.
Requirements
- Willing to enroll and work towards CIP designation in order to obtain adjuster licenses.
- Experience that is relevant to the position.
- Strong time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
- Bilingualism (English and French), although not a requirement is considered a strong asset.
