We're seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Claims Assistant. As a key member of our claims team, you will play a vital role in providing administrative support and front-line quality customer service in the settlement of insurance claims.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare forms and correspondence to insurance clients, vendors, and legal representatives.
- Manage file storage and retrieval process for closed files.
- Provide various administrative support such as photocopying, scanning, etc.
- Open new claims and assign appropriate claims adjusters.
- Process, coordinate, sort, and distribute incoming correspondence.
- Process payments on claim files.
- Identify process improvements to management.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Diploma in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, or Administration.
- Available to work full-time, 35 hours per week, for the Winter Term (January to April).
- Must be returning to school in Summer or Fall following your internship.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills (English and/or French preferred).
- Ability to consistently perform at a superior level with respect to both the accuracy and volume of work completed.
- Strong computer skills or training with standard Microsoft Office applications, including strong data entry skills.
- Experience with customer service is considered an asset.
- Experience using PDF Factory is considered an asset.
