**Supervisor, Provincial Communication Unit** A dedicated leader is sought to oversee a large team in a 24/7 communication centre environment, delivering critical ministry programs and fostering a culture of collaboration, safety, and excellence.

Please note: This position requires regular onsite attendance at our office.

The Enforcement Branch within the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is seeking a dedicated and experienced leader to join our team as Supervisor, Provincial Communication Unit.

In this role, you will lead a large team in delivering a number of critical ministry programs in a 24 hour/7 days a week communication centre environment.

**Key Responsibilities:** • Provide comprehensive supervisory oversight for the direct delivery of the ministry's Provincial Communication Unit (PCU) in a 24/7/365 environment, and manage a variety of shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays. • Oversee Communication Operators, ensuring prompt and effective responses during emergencies and critical incidents. • Contribute to service delivery improvements by actively participating in the development of recommendations and strategies. • Foster a culture of excellence that emphasizes diversity, staff development, and the enhancement of the ministry's policy expertise. • Coach, mentor and manage a team of experienced professionals, while supporting and promoting an engaged, culturally responsive, and inclusive work environment.

**Requirements:** • Valid class G driver's license or equivalent as recognized by the Province of Ontario. • Enhanced-level screening check under the OPS Employment Screening Checks Policy. • Leadership experience, including coaching team members to unlock their full potential, driving individual and collective growth and team success. • Effective planning skills to coordinate and oversee program and service delivery. • Expertise and knowledge in human resources management, financial resources management, performance management, training and development and labour relations issues. • Proficiency in computer operation and software applications to prepare reports, correspondence, and access data. • Strong understanding of technological systems and issues relating to organizational applications and hardware, computerized data systems as well as telephone, radio systems and protocol, web and email. • Expert knowledge in troubleshooting techniques and diagnostics to effectively repair minor technical failures and malfunctions as they arise during shifts. • Ability to apply knowledge of organizational policies, procedures, directions, objectives, agreements, and related legislation. • Demonstrated ability to evaluate service delivery, conduct risk assessments, identify and/or resolve issues and gaps and make recommendations on service improvements. • Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills to provide expertise regarding program delivery. • Collaborative leadership style and recognition of the value of working with partners both internally and externally. • Proven experience identifying and assessing contentious issues and preparing shift reports and briefings. • Ability to negotiate issue resolution with staff and clients, participate in policy and procedural working groups and promote programs goals and initiatives.
