Unit Assistant II

The Unit Assistant II - Women's Health Support is a key member of the Sault Area Hospital team, providing essential administrative support to the Women's Health Unit. This role requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clerical support to the Women's Health Unit, including data entry, billing functions, and reporting.
- Assist with patient registration, scheduling, and coordination of care.
- Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date filing systems, both manual and computerized.
- Process and verify applications, receipts, expenditures, and other documents.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.
- Assist with transcription of orders and other administrative tasks as required.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to achieve positive patient outcomes.
- Diploma in Office Administration or equivalent education and/or experience.
- Computer literacy in a Microsoft environment, including experience with hospital software applications such as Meditech, ADT, ADM, and CWS.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service.
