We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health Services Manager to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. Reporting to the Health Services Director, this role is responsible for the planning and coordination of services and daily operations of people-centered programs within our organization.
The successful candidate will provide leadership and direction for VG 9A and Enterostomal Clinic, ensuring the goals and objectives are continually met. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing strategic and operational leadership that supports service delivery excellence and collaboration with other program areas.
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining an active human resource plan, including recruitment, selection, interviewing, and hiring.
- Preparing and analyzing all relevant financial and clinical data, reporting trends, and identifying areas for improvement.
- Establishing and maintaining creative and efficient communication processes across clinical teams, geographically different sites, and other stakeholders.
- Representing their discipline or service/program by active and effective participation in meetings and on committees.
We are looking for a candidate with a baccalaureate degree from a health discipline, preferably with a master's degree. The ideal candidate will have five to seven years of relevant clinical experience, with previous leadership/management experience being an asset. Strong knowledge and understanding of issues and trends impacting the publicly funded healthcare system are essential.
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and self-directed individual with excellent leadership skills, including vision, self-awareness, relationship, and team building skills. Competencies in other languages, particularly French, are an asset.
This is a long-assignment full-time position, with approximately 11 months of assignment length subject to change. The hourly rate is $60.39, and successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
