Job Description:

As a Registered Nurse Class A, you will be responsible for coordinating the care of each patient, incorporating the nursing profession's values of knowledge, theory, and practice. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the needs of patients and significant others in the delivery of care, collaborating with all members of the interdisciplinary team in this approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and plan patient care, incorporating nursing values and principles.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver patient care.
  • Develop and implement care plans, evaluating patient progress and outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety activities.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Nursing or Bachelor Degree in Nursing.
  • Registered (active) or ability to register with the Nurses Association of New Brunswick.
  • Minimum of two years in the last five years of specialized nursing experience in family practice, surgical, palliative care, or oncology.
  • Knowledge of the target population of Extra-Mural Services and available community services.
  • Valid New Brunswick Class 5 Driver's License and good driving record.
  • Current CPR Level C certification.
  • Ability to work efficiently as a member of the team, possess leadership and coaching skills, strong interpersonal skills, good judgment, and decision-making skills.
