Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technician to join our team at Paladin Technologies. As a Senior Technician - Security, you will play a critical role in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of security systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Maintenance: Install, program, and configure security systems, including CCTV cameras, access control systems, and intrusion alarms, in accordance with industry standards and client specifications.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure the continued functionality and reliability of security systems. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly.
  • Cabling and Networking: Install, terminate, and test copper and fiber optic cables, connectors, and related components. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cabling systems with other network infrastructure components.
  • Client Communication: Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs, provide expert guidance, and offer solutions tailored to their requirements. Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction through effective communication and professionalism.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of system installations, maintenance activities, and repairs. Prepare and execute detailed reports and acceptance test plans to meet SLA's, contracts, and internal use.
  • Training and Development: Train clients and end-users on the operation of security systems to maximize their effectiveness and ease of use. Stay up to date with advancements in security technology, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all safety regulations and compliance standards related to security systems installation and maintenance.
Requirements
  • Experience: Progressive experience in a technical role within the integrated security or low-voltage industry is required.
  • Leadership: Previous experience leading installations at the site level is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in the use of relevant tools and equipment. Programming experience is preferred for senior positions.
  • Certifications: Vendor Certification in low voltage systems is preferred. Valid TQ certification is also preferred.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Travel: Ability to travel 50% to 70%.
