The Camp Security Team is integral in preventing and identifying activities that may threaten personnel, assets, and operations. Their duties encompass safeguarding the project against various potential hazards, including accidents, criminal acts, and unethical behavior.
- Access Management: Execute comprehensive verification processes for all individuals and vehicles entering the premises.
- Equipment Verification: Confirm all tools, equipment, and materials exiting the site.
- Inspections: Carry out thorough inspections of individuals, vehicles, equipment, and cargo entering the area, with detailed searches conducted either randomly or for specific reasons.
- Patrol Duties: Conduct random mobile patrols of perimeters, work areas, docks, and facilities.
- ID Management: Document all individuals and vehicles entering the site, issuing ID cards or vehicle passes as necessary.
- Traffic Regulation: Implement traffic laws using radar and other methods.
- Policy Enforcement: Ensure adherence to all project policies through security operations.
- Traffic Coordination: Oversee traffic during busy times, incidents, and the movement of oversized loads.
- Emergency Communication: Provide 24/7 incident communication.
- Incident Management: Lead security incidents and perform investigations as required.
- Data Collection: Gather data on various activities for analytical purposes.
- Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written communication skills in English for report generation.
- Valid BC Class 5 Driver's License.
- Capability to foster strong relationships with team members, clients, and emergency services.
- Enthusiasm for physical activity and adaptability to diverse working conditions.
- Technological proficiency for reporting and communication tasks.
- All shifts consist of 12-hour periods on a 2-week on, 2-week off rotation.
- Accommodations are provided during shifts.
- Compensation: $22.50/hour.
