About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Group Insurance Data Insights and Analytics to join our team at Equitable Life. As a key member of our Group Insurance leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive data strategy that drives business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Strategy Development: Collaborate with senior leaders to understand current business needs and identify opportunities for improvement. Develop a strategic roadmap for data analytics and insights that aligns with business objectives.
  • Reporting and Business Intelligence: Design and implement reporting and business intelligence solutions using enterprise tools and platforms. Ensure data quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Data Governance and Quality: Partner with the enterprise data governance team to establish and maintain data governance policies and procedures. Ensure data quality and integrity across the organization.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Build and maintain relationships with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and priorities. Collaborate to develop data-driven solutions that drive business outcomes.
  • Leadership and Coaching: Lead and develop a high-performing team of data analysts and scientists. Provide coaching and guidance to ensure team members have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing data strategies that drive business growth and profitability.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with data governance, data quality, and data management processes and techniques.
  • Knowledge of coding/programming languages (e.g. Python, Java, C#) is highly desirable.
