About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to join our Client Acquisition Analytics team within the Growth and Performance Marketing business. As a key member of our analytics community, you will be responsible for providing data-driven insights to support business growth and improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with business partners to identify complex business problems and provide data-driven solutions.
  • Analytic work from requirements specification, data gathering, analysis to presentations to solve business problems.
  • Work with stakeholders across Sun Life as a subject matter expert in prospect, client, and advisor data.
  • Develop metrics and KPIs to measure the performance of analytical and data products in the overall portfolio.
  • Provide support for annual business plan, monthly sales forecast, and insight analysis.
  • Operationalize reporting processes and synthesize key metrics into impactful and insightful dashboards to monitor and assess the success of business initiatives/performance.
  • Perform reporting automation, self-serve analytics enablement, and promote a culture of analytics-driven decision making.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience working with data, including quantitative analysis, handling, manipulating, and analyzing data, hypothesis testing, data modeling, and data visualization.
  • 5+ years of experience with SQL, comfortable writing accurate, efficient, but complex SQL queries to extract and integrate data from multiple database sources.
  • Experience working with AWS data toolsets (e.g., Glue, Redshift, SageMaker) and knowledge of using Python/Pyspark.
  • Experience using oral and written storytelling to share data-driven insights in a clear, succinct manner.
  • In-depth prioritization, planning, and change management skills to stay within time/scope of a task in a fast-paced environment.
  • 2+ years of experience in data visualization/dashboarding with Tableau or equivalent.
  • Understanding of predictive and prescriptive techniques (e.g., regression, decision trees, forecasting).
  • Experience in Salesforce.
  • MSc preferably in a statistical, mathematical, or technical field (e.g., computer science).
  • Additional statistical programming languages.
  • Advanced user of MS Excel and MS Access.
