About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Business Development and Analytics to join our Global Data Technology (GDT) team at Company 1 - The Manufacturers Life Insurance Company. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in driving the execution of our global data strategy and delivering business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership to the GDT team, ensuring alignment with our company's overall business objectives.
  • Data Strategy and Operations: Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy, driving the improvement of end-to-end data delivery processes and providing key insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Lead a small offshore team to drive the reporting and maintenance of data and metrics, working closely with cross-functional teams to operationalize and maintain a comprehensive set of strategic and operational metrics.
  • Business Development: Identify and develop business opportunities, collaborating with internal teams and vendors to drive growth and revenue.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain effective communication strategies, ensuring stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5-7 years of professional experience in strategy, operating models, process engineering, enterprise organizational change management, training, analytics transformations, and data management.
  • Education: Post-secondary degree and/or Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent program.
  • Skills: Proficient in modern data and cloud technologies, MS PowerPoint, Excel, PowerBI, Co-Pilot, and Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Communication: Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts into business-focused language.
  • Leadership: Proven leadership skills, with experience in managing teams and driving business outcomes.
