Registered Nurse, Cardiac Services Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Fraser Health Authority. As a Cardiac Care Nurse, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care in our Interventional Cardiology department.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Care Coordination: Collaborate with the interprofessional care team to ensure seamless care delivery and effective communication.
- Medication Management: Administer medications and monitor patient responses to ensure safe and effective care.
- Education and Support: Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote health and well-being.
- Documentation and Reporting: Accurately document patient information and report any concerns or issues to the healthcare team.
- Education: Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
- Experience: Completion of Cardiology component of Post Basic Critical Care course, or post basic High Acuity Course, approved Arrhythmia interpretation course plus one (1) year's recent experience in cardiac monitoring or telemetry unit, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Skills and Abilities: Clinical proficiency in the designated clinical area(s), ability to complete initial and ongoing patient assessment, and provide nursing care through appropriate/prescribed technical, therapeutic, safety type interventions.
