Senior Foliage Artist: Join Our Art Team
We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Foliage Artist to join our art team on a CG animated TV series. As a key member of our team, you'll work closely with the Art Director, Director, and Modeling Supervisor to create and modify foliage, rocks, and natural assets for our shows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the art team to deliver high-quality assets that meet the required art style.
- Interpret 2D concept art and reference into accurate 3D models that capture the spirit of the concept.
- Create and texture 3D vegetation using SpeedTree and other software.
- Work with lighters and compositors to achieve the final look.
- Collaborate with animators to ensure all elements are included and set up as required.
Requirements:
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of staging and composition.
- Superior level proficiency in Maya.
- Experience with SpeedTree modeling and Substance Painter texturing.
- Great understanding of proportion, scale, perspective, lighting, and color.
Software Proficiency:
- Maya
- SpeedTree
- Mash
- xGen
Nice to Have:
- Degree and/or diploma in fine arts or animation or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience working in a professional environment within their discipline.
