Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled World Artist to join our team at Electronic Arts. As a World Artist, you will be responsible for creating immersive and engaging game worlds using real-world topography data.
Responsibilities
- Design and build playable worlds using real-world terrain data.
- Create 3D models of architecture, foliage, and props from photo references and concept art.
- Collaborate with designers to support game modes, player encounter needs, and narrative elements.
- Conduct field trips to capture reference photography and scans.
- Refine art assets and optimize performance.
- Maintain world art confluence pages to ensure workflows and best practices are up to date.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of layout, lighting, and color and their impact on gameplay.
- Excellent technical skills in 3D modeling software such as Maya or Blender.
- Experience working with physically based rendering pipelines.
- Knowledge of terrain and landscape generators.
- Ability to push asset fidelity and refine production techniques.
