Indigenous Pathways Program
Entertainment, Factual & Sports Q/Commotion & Now or Never
The Indigenous Pathways Program is a paid, full-time, 9-month learning and development opportunity that starts in September 2024 and supports First Nations, Inuit or Métis storytellers to hone their skills at CBC. Indigenous Pathways provides training on story development, writing, critical thinking, ethics, and inclusion, as well as career development support and work experience.
Journalism or Media Production education or job experience are not required to apply. The program runs until June 2025.
One successful candidate will be based in each of this year's host locations.
This position will be based in Toronto . This role is within the Entertainment, Factual & Sports (EFS) department and it starts with training on two national daily radio shows (Q/Commotion) and Now or Never. There will be opportunities to be introduced to and explore other areas of EFS depending on the candidate's interests.
This role requires full time on site presence. Relocation costs are not covered.
Indigenous Pathways provides journalism training, career development support, and work experience. Applicants do not require journalism education or experience to apply.
