Job Overview

The Broadcast & Content Team at MLSE is seeking a dedicated Associate Producer to support the creation of engaging content for live broadcasts and various programming platforms, including digital and linear channels. This role will focus on the Toronto Raptors, Raptors 905, NBATV Canada, Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Marlies, and other affiliated MLSE teams as required.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and research of content as needed.
  • Support all facets of production planning, including participation in pre-production meetings, content scheduling, and footage management.
  • Attend team meetings, practices, games, and other related activities.
  • Edit and assemble content using Adobe Premiere Pro, focusing on highlight packages and short-form videos.
  • Plan and participate in shoots, ensuring creative and technical requirements are met.
  • Coordinate with regional networks and internal stakeholders to secure necessary approvals for production elements.
  • Generate innovative content concepts that resonate with diverse audiences.
  • Collaborate with Team Media Relations for interview requests and necessary approvals.
  • Ensure all rights and clearances are obtained for content usage.
  • Be available for evening and weekend work, with flexibility to take on additional roles within the broadcast environment.

Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of basketball and hockey, with some familiarity with soccer and football.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a sports production setting, particularly in basketball and hockey.
  • Ability to identify key plays and moments in games, showcasing a creative eye for camera angles.
  • Familiarity with pre- and post-production processes.
  • Experience with digital editing and technical live-stream production is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Knowledge of social media platforms is beneficial.
  • Experience with Photoshop is a plus.
