Team Lead - Programming

Ubisoft Quebec, a leading game development studio, is seeking an experienced Team Lead to guide a group of talented programmers in creating innovative technologies for our games.

As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for:

  • Distributing tasks and monitoring progress during team meetings
  • Providing team members with the necessary tools to work independently and contribute to the long-term technological vision of the projects
  • Meeting individually with team members to discuss performance, well-being, and career advancement
  • Collaborating with other leads to plan ahead, assess risks, and deliver on time
  • Participating in code reviews and ensuring high-quality code
  • Communicating regularly with project leads and other stakeholders

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent field
  • Extensive experience in video game programming
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing a team of programmers
  • Proficiency in C++ and other programming languages commonly used for game development
  • Experience participating in the full production of at least one game or equivalent as a programming team lead
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication and strategic leadership skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and find solutions to complex problems
