Job Summary:
The System Navigator will provide support and resources to survivors of sexual violence and intimate partner violence, as well as their families and loved ones. This role will involve providing clinical assessments, linking clients with community resources, and participating in program development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual counselling and support to survivors and their families
- Liaise with community resources and service organizations to provide referrals and support
- Participate in program development and evaluation
- Maintain awareness of community-led initiatives and cultural supports available for survivors and families
- Facilitate the Survivors Advisory Council
Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in the social sciences, graduate degree preferred
- Minimum two years supervised in-person counselling experience
- Lived experience as a First Nations, Metis, or Inuit health professional
- Thorough knowledge of sexual violence, domestic violence, and intimate partner violence frameworks and dynamics
- Demonstrated familiarity with a broad range of social services agencies and resources
Working Conditions:
This position requires the ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings.
Salary Range: $33.747 per hour - $44.041 per hour
