Employment Navigator Specialist

The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is seeking a highly skilled Employment Navigator to join our team. In this role, you will assist nurses in managing and coordinating assessments, training, and registration requirements to achieve licensure, enabling them to secure employment in the nursing field.
Responsibilities- Work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including nursing colleges, regulatory bodies, educational institutions, and stakeholder groups, to facilitate the nurse licensure process.
- Provide guidance and support to individuals navigating complex systems and interrelated processes.
- Act as an advocate and guide for nurses, helping them move through the pathway in a streamlined manner.
- Graduate of an approved nursing education program required.
- Experience working as a registered Nurse in the province of Manitoba preferred.
- Ability to navigate through challenges while maintaining accountability within set requirements.
- Experience working with diverse populations, including new Canadians, in a respectful, culturally sensitive, and safe manner.
- Ability to speak additional languages is an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and persuasively.
- Typical day involves working at a computer and frequent meetings in an environmentally controlled office environment.
- Must be able to handle multiple priorities and competing demands and frequent interruptions.
