We are searching for a Clinical Services Partner, Long-Term Care (LTC) to join our Clinical Services Team based in Colchester/Cumberland, Nova Scotia. This role is responsible for providing quality resident care, conducting routine clinical and infection prevention and control audits, and monitoring clinical outcomes in LTC communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine clinical and infection prevention and control audits at LTC communities to validate compliance with regulatory requirements, Accreditation standards, evidence-based practices, and Shannex's policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and analyze findings and trends related to regulatory requirements, quality indicators, and clinical outcomes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with LTC communities, Regional Team, and Manager, Clinical Services, LTC to create, monitor, and evaluate Quality Action Plans, where required.
  • Work closely with leaders at LTC communities to identify clinical education needs for employees and support the development of a clinical education plan for roll out.
  • Cultivate an innovative spirit, continually seeking new and improved ways to improve clinical practice, quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • Participate in development, evaluation, and revision of clinical policies, procedures, and education.
  • Lead/co-lead assigned clinical program(s) and clinical program committee(s) at organizational level.
  • Research and make recommendations in leading evidence-based clinical practices and innovations.
  • Participate in interprovincial committees/working groups and share and disseminate knowledge with the Clinical Services Team and broadly with the organization, as requested.

About You:

  • Practical Nursing, Bachelor of Nursing, or Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
  • Current registration or eligibility to be registered with the appropriate nursing regulatory body.
  • Minimum five (5) years nursing experience which includes clinical, administrative, and leadership experience in an LTC or retirement living environment.
  • Master of Nursing or Master of Science in Nursing considered an asset.
  • Completion of post-graduate clinical education and/or certifications considered an asset.
  • A passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services, and care.
