Physiotherapist Needed for Temporary Assignment at Nova Scotia Health

We are seeking a Physiotherapist to join our team for a temporary assignment at Nova Scotia Health. The successful candidate will assess, diagnose, and treat patients with actual or potential impairment, pain, functional limitations, or disabilities.

The Physiotherapist will work in outpatient, inpatient, and community settings, educating and communicating with other health disciplines, the general public, family members, and caregivers. The successful applicant may be required to provide services anywhere within the Rehabilitation Services portfolio.

About the Role

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with actual or potential impairment, pain, functional limitations, or disabilities
  • Work in outpatient, inpatient, and community settings
  • Communicate with other health disciplines, the general public, family members, and caregivers
  • Provide supervision and evaluation of physiotherapy students and assistants

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or entry-level master program in Physiotherapy from an accredited university
  • Membership with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists (Provincial licensing body)
  • Computer skills (statistics input, word processing, Outlook)
  • Annual Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation certification (BCLS)
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Working Conditions

  • Short Assignment Full-time; 100% FTE, 75 Hours Bi-weekly
  • Approximately 7-month assignment

Compensation

$33.97 - $42.89 hourly
