Secord Animal Hospital welcomes an experienced Veterinary Receptionist, Animal Care Attendant to join our team This is an exceptional full-time opportunity for an organized, motivated, and empathetic individual to join us in a very important support role for the entire hospital. In this role, you will help our clients and their pets feel welcomed and appreciated

  • Excellent customer service skills; a real aptitude for putting pets and pet parents at ease and creating a welcoming environment
  • Remaining calm and adaptable in stressful situations
  • Willingness to learn more regarding; veterinary services, updated medical office procedures, and assist the Veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments
  • Ability to answer a multiline phone system and track and book appointments effectively
  • Scheduling appointments; Admitting and discharging pet patients
  • Invoicing/billing; creating estimates and processing payments
  • Providing compassionate care duties including feeding and walking patients
  • General cleanliness maintenance in reception, pet holding areas, and common spaces
  • A Veterinary Assistant (VA) or Veterinary Assistant Office Administration (VAOA) program certificate is an asset
  • A love for all companion animals
