About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team at Angus Consulting Management Limited (ACML). As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion, and meeting budget and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage projects involving effective coordination and liaison with internal and external stakeholders, including other areas of the Capital Projects Group, clients, and utilities.
  • Provide regular reports to stakeholders and Senior Management, including schedule management, cost management, stakeholder management, risk management, design and engineering, quality, safety, document control, and flagging.
  • Estimate engineering, construction, and contingency costs, and forecast time frames for implementation and funding expenditures.
  • Identify, monitor, mitigate, and escalate issues that can potentially put the project at risk.
  • Develop a budget report and manage multiple complex projects throughout the project management lifecycle within corporate commitments of budget, schedule, risk, safety, quality, and other requirements.
  • Coordinate the tender and award of contracts, property requests for acquisitions, purchase orders, change orders for supply/construction contracts, and addenda for consultant assignments.
  • Review and evaluate consultant studies, reports, design proposals, specifications, and contract documents for compliance with ACML policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Establish processes and standard documents used in the implementation of capital projects, from design to occupancy, using a project development system.
Requirements
  • Degree in Engineering or a related field, or a combination of relevant education, training, and experience deemed equivalent.
  • Past experience in construction, renovations, skilled trades, or tenant improvement projects is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multi-disciplinary projects involving planning, design, construction, and commissioning of facilities to meet budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
  • On-site experience, preferably conducted within a continuously working facility with significant public exposure and interaction.
  • Strong diplomacy and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, excellent presentation, and public speaking skills.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation would be an asset.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising staff.
  • Knowledge of contract law, the Construction Act, the Occupational Health & Safety Act, and construction standards.
