About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at Regal Rexnord. As an EHS Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees, as well as the environmental sustainability of our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain effective EHS programs and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular site audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with operations and field service leaders to develop and implement EHS training programs for employees.
  • Lead the development and implementation of sustainability initiatives to minimize waste, emissions, and energy consumption.
  • Manage and maintain all EHS-related records and reports.
  • Interface with regulatory agencies and external stakeholders on EHS-related matters.
  • Lead the Joint Health and Safety Committee to ensure effective communication and collaboration among employees, management, and external stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, environmental science, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of relevant EHS experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of BC Occupational, Health, and Safety legislation and requirements.
  • Experience with incident investigation methods and EHS-related data analysis.
  • Proven record of creating a strong safety culture and leading EHS initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Effective leadership and management skills, with the ability to influence peers and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in interprovincial and US legislation (OSHA) preferred.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and environmental requirements.
  • Experience with claims management, disability management, and return-to-work programs.
  • First aid certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
