**Job Description**

As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of all designated MRI suites, including instruction of students and direction of staff. You will ensure that patient requisitions meet departmental standards and correlate clinical history with examinations to be performed. You will also perform complex procedures designated via indirect supervision of the radiologist.

**Key Responsibilities**

• Perform imaging procedures and patient care duties
• Ensure patient safety and well-being in the MRI environment
• Correlate clinical history with examinations to be performed
• Direct staff and students in the MRI suites
• Maintain accurate records and reports
• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care

**Requirements**

• Graduate of an accredited School of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technology
• Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) MRI exam and certification
• Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure
• Previous MRI experience preferred
• Demonstrate competency in I.V. insertion
• Excellent patient care and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Highly adaptable and able to think critically

**Working Conditions**

• Permanent full-time position
• 75 hours biweekly
• Call and shift work required, evenings, nights, and weekends

**Compensation**

• $39.76 hourly
• Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage
• Defined benefit pension plan
