MRI Technologist Specialist

- About the Role
- The MRI Technologist will lead the day-to-day operations of designated MRI suites, including instruction of students and direction of staff. Mission-Critical Responsibilities
- Perform imaging procedures and patient care duties, ensuring accurate and high-quality results.
- Collaborate with radiologists to assume indirect supervision of complex procedures, applying safety rules and techniques to protect patients, staff, and the public.
- Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School with a diploma in Health Technology, e.g., RT, and successful completion of the Canadian Association of Medical Radiological Technology MRI exams.
- CANRT certification, Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure, and previous MRI experience preferred.
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred.
- Working Conditions
- Long assignment full-time position, 75 hours biweekly, approximately 12 months, with call and shift work required, evenings, nights, and weekends.
- Compensation and Incentives
- Hourly rate of $34.24 - $39.96, with a benefits package including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
