Career Opportunity and Primary Roles / Responsibilities

As a member of our team, the primary responsibility of the control
systems engineer is in the definition of systems, hardware and software
solutions for industrial gas turbine controls. Some of the activities
related to the position include:

  • Assessment of needs and definition of concepts
  • Understanding hardware design and specifications
  • Implementation and verification of codes
  • Modeling and simulation
  • Engine testing and internal technical support

Required Competencies

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, aerospace or closely related
  • Previous experience in control systems engineering
  • Member of the Quebec Order of Engineers (OIQ), or eligible to become one
  • Very good command of English language, written and spoken
  • Intermediate level of French, written and spoken
  • Experience related to control system hardware and/or software development
  • Experience producing / executing validation and verification plans and testing scripts
  • Ability in structuring and solving complex problems
  • Knowledge of gas turbine engine controls and the same interest in gas turbine technology, an asset
  • Practical knowledge of methods and modeling tools for systems, such as MATLAB and Simulink

  • Practical knowledge of scripting tools, such as Visual Basic and Python, considered an asset
  • Practical knowledge of PLC programming tools (Allen-Bradley and Siemens)

  • Practical knowledge of C / C ++
  • Practical knowledge of the agile approach and work within SCRUM teams, an asset
