Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Inviro Engineered Systems Ltd. as a Systems Specialist. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for industrial, commercial, and institutional buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement electrical system designs, including load calculations, schematics, and equipment selection.
  • Prepare contract documents, including specifications, and ensure compliance with ASHRAE and LEED standards.
  • Evaluate shop drawings and ensure quality control.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and consultants.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on electrical system design and development.
  • Prepare technical reports, documentation, calculations, and sketches.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineering Designation (P.Eng.) required.
  • 4+ years of experience in electrical engineering for industrial, commercial, and institutional buildings.
  • Strong knowledge of high-voltage substations, fire alarms, lighting, emergency power generation, medium-voltage and low-voltage distribution systems, and large electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code.
  • Excellent time management and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
